Wind Speed & Direction plus Angle of Attack – The Pilots Best Friend.

The AgWind uses a specific Pitot Probe that integrates the complete sensor of Air pressure (airspeed) relative to static, AoA ports, Outside Air Temperature, etc. all processed and electronically communicated to the AgWind and AoA system. As such the probe can be installed separately from the existing Pitot Tube if that is what is needed. Further to this you can get the PSP probe complete with Airspeed pressure port as well as Pitot Heat if you need these options to replace your existing Pitot Probe. It has a TSO for this replacement.
With this PSP probe, it is wired to the Instrument which has a triple MEMS AHARS sensors for giving the data for calculating wind speed and direction as well as the AoA. But better than that if you add a second instrument the pilot can change this on the fly to whatever instrument he needs for his type of flight operation – see pictures below. The best thing is the price of US$5995 for the AgWind and you can add the second instrument to add AoA for only $980. Also, you can add further instruments based on you panel space assignment you want. These instruments are getting the TSO through FAA if it is required for your installation. The best part of adding this second Instrument for AoA, it can also be “swiped” to be an AH, DG, VSI, ASI, Turn Coordinator or Altimeter (the altimeter can also be changed to show BIG NUMBERS.)
This AgWind + AoA system is manufactured by MicroAir Avionics and is designed so you can add Com radios and Transponder with ADSB in and out into the instrument that we supply with the AgWind system. Visit their site to see their new T3000 systems . https://www.microair.aero/t3000-skysuite-3/
