DynaNav Systems Inc. introduced their new HUD (Heads-Up Display) system at the Reno NAAA show. to a resounding positive response from all who had an opportunity to see it in action. Many pilots can not wait until they get the opportunity to operate DynaHUD in their aircraft.
We presented the HUD at the NAAA trade show using real flight video capture and actual flight data to effectively show the HUD in actual operation. This real-world presentation demonstrated how the actual projected guidance image, way out into the far-field viewspace, was a huge advantage for both pilot safety and precision guidance and control.
Flight guidance design is based on our existing DynaFlight IFGI (DynaViz). DynaViz guidance has been a tried and true technology solution in the air agricultural world for over 20 years.
All primary operations of the system are done with the top-hat and enter switch mounted on the DynaGrip supplied with the system. The pilot can change customers, start or recall jobs, control and view the live Highway in the Sky, and more all in the DynaHUD display. Important information such as ground speed, flow information, total acres, and etc. are projected out in front of the aircraft for safe operations. This is accompanied by the full moving map and touchscreen operations on the DynaFlight Advanced Flight Computer.
One of the most significant advantages of the DynaHUD display is that the image is projected effectively parallel to the ground. This means the pilot can fly down the projected roadway just as if he was flying down the middle of a country road with a painted center-line, naturally and intuitively.
All DynaNav products including the DynaFlight III system, the DynaHUD, and the Vektor MAX light bar system have a major advantage in that there are no remote boxes to install. The Advanced Flight Computer has all of the technology built in, including GPS, Wi-Fi, BlueTooth, and SkyNet aircraft-to-aircraft communications, and much more. Furthermore, DynaFlight III and Vektor MAX have the flow controller electronics built in too, and hence are ready for flow control operations. This means installation is easy and fast . In the event of an issue, that means there is only one place to look, which significantly reduces the troubleshooting time. In a few minutes, by changing just this one component and swapping the SD card, the pilot can be fully operational exactly where he left off, with all computer settings and jobs untouched.
Although other GPS manufacturers claim ease-of-use, until you experience DynaNav products, you will not know how good it gets. Just ask pilots who fly our systems.
